This is a smart, suspenseful and much more smaller approach for the Mission Impossible movies and through Brian De Palma’s perspective, he brings a nice update to kick off what has become a distinctive and unique franchise
After giving Doctor Strange a rewatch after some time, I found myself adoring this movie more than the first time I saw it. It is your typical origin story for a superhero movie, but aside from the brilliant performances are level of operations that are done by director Scott Derrickson. He channels in his horror like styles and finds a way to give the MCU an innovativeness with it’s visual through the storytelling and the mind blowing set pieces. Some of the characters might be underutilized, but this is a solid solo movie in the MCU that makes me over the moon for the sequel
Thematically rich, gorgeous animation and maybe some of the best voice work in the realm of animation, Inside Out is maybe the most socially important movie of this millennium. I mean just the ideas of growing up, reminiscing the memories you once had as child, those moments of pain, anger and disgust speak volumes to the power of this movie. This is easily one of Pixar’s best crafted movies to date.
