I feel like I should end every review with “but then again who the fuck am I”
I know I just saw this like two days ago but I was looking at showtimes for wrath of man and stumbled upon a 25th anniversary screening and the last show was tonight and I have a bunch of Cinemark rewards points built up so I thought fuck it, I'm vaxed, school is out, mi rules, I deserve to see some fuckin sick split diopters on the big screen
so anyway there were literally 4 other people in the auditorium…
guy ritchie is doing like john wick meets heat but with much less fun than the former and much less maturity than the latter while maintaining the convoluted structure of his previous movies without any of the fun absurdity of their connectedness that makes that structure work
also hard to tell about the morality of this movie like we spend a lot of time with the people that killed statham's kid, even at one's birthday party with his kid plus…
I don’t normally log rewatches but I just wanna say that I think this movie is unironically great.
There’s tons of hilarious one liners and moments and the high school drama part I think is actually really relatable and effective. Kurt Russel is fantastic and so is Bruce Campbell.
