The Game is now one of my favorite thrillers of all time! Fincher can't direct a film poorly. Everything is shot for maximum suspense and there is not a bad shot. That dude is a genius. Michael Douglas is the lead, and he gives a great performance. As his life is destroyed by "the game" you truly feel for him. What happens to him is terrible and you just want all the pain to end. Sean Penn gets limited screentime but he is also really good.
The movie really triumphs just from its shock factor. There were so many scenes that just blew my mind. You are convinced of one thing but the film does a 180. The ending is by far the most controversial part of this film. When you watch this movie you can tell there will be clear plotholes within the film. The end will piss you off if you think about it too much, so don't. What happens is crazy! On par with Empire, Prestige, and The Departed on how good the end is. I really enjoyed this movie and I highly recommend it to all you guys!
