    The Princess and the Frog

    ★★★½

Seeing the Disney classics in order has been an interesting project, especially for the perspective it brings to the films. The Princess and the Frog coming out at the tail-end of the 00s, a lackluster decade for the studio with some of their biggest failures, feels very refreshing. Taking the well-established princess-idea behind some of the studio’s biggest moments, Disney polishes the setup with an incredibly stylish and fun animation and drapes it in a reasonably modern context with fitting…

    ★★

The one thing—other than its groovy poster—Brain of Blood has going for it, is its fun wrong-body-transplant-premise but for a shitty horror film, it takes a surprising amount of time for the setup. George Miller’s fourth Mad Max movie is an action masterpiece, it packs in a superb soundtrack and so…

“I'm not going to waste my time arguing with a man who's lining up to be a hot lunch”

Yesterday, I saw Jaws for the umptieth time and it struck me that it was not only a perfect movie, but also a perfect viewing.

I don't exactly know why, but to watch Steven Spielberg's breakthrough yesterday was such a perfect fit. The pleasant breeze of the summer have just started to crawl in and the last few days have meant…
