  • Pinocchio

    whyyy was this made

  • My Octopus Teacher

    My Octopus Teacher

dude needs a therapist wtf!!! this was so weird, the way he talks about the octopus like he's in love with her. i couldn't stop laughing halfway through when he starts talking about their physical contact and w/e jfc go play with your son or something, and leave the poor animal alone

  • Scarface

apologies to any filmbros this might offend. i know my low ratings of "classics" may get annoying but holy shit i am clearly not the audience for this type of thing. i stg i wanna watch these super well-known gangster/mobster movies just to feel the least knowledgeable in the field of film but most of them are like 2 and a half to 3 hours long and they're always so gd BORING i end up fast forwarding through the whole thing bc i just can't wait for it TO END why do people rate these so highly i'll never understand

  • American Beauty

    American Beauty

this movie absolutely did not age well in any way and anyway why the fuck would a movie about some gross middle aged man wanting to fuck an underage girl win best picture anyway i stg

it made me laugh a little at certain points so it gets an extra half star but in general i couldn't really tell you anything else i liked because everything felt so cringeworthy and pretentious

  • Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare
  • La Dolce Vita

    La Dolce Vita

after failing to see what was so great about 8 1/2, i decided to watch this and... yeah... i think i can safely say this kind of movie is not my cup of tea

can't stand the dubbing, or the lack of a coherent plot, or the main character, or the way women are treated, which... now that i think about it... were my main issues with 8 1/2 too....... there might be a pattern here

  • Breakthrough

was this necessary? i think not

  • Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

    Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

excruciatingly boring and clichéd. i'd like to thank the oscars for giving this a nom and thereby forcing me to actually watch it

  • At Eternity's Gate

    At Eternity's Gate

i'm sure this was a great movie but unfortunately i had to look away half the time because of how it was filmed

i need a motion sickness trigger for this sort of film 'technique' so i can know in advance not to waste money to see it in the movies

otherwise this was kind of a pointless movie. saw loving vincent last year and loved it but this... this missed the mark. extra star for defoe's performance but eh

  • Call Me by Your Name

    Call Me by Your Name

this movie may have just ruined my love for peaches, so i kinda hate it. my only hope is i'll be able to cleanse my brain of that unnecessary scene before peach season or my summer is ruined from the get-go.

other than that... meh. nothing really *happened* the whole time and i was bored. halfway through i thought the movie would be almost over but there was still an hour to go which made me wanna watch at 2x…
