Jake Sleezer’s review published on Letterboxd:
Everyone always says, look that person is in a cult, how naive would you have to be to join one... well if David Blair wanted to start a cult, I would probably just join it.
Immaterially extracts your mind, and gently sinks it into the well celestial nectar, whereupon Blair amicably serves as medium, communicating the esoteric utterances of the cosmic hive to you with the only language that can brush up against the meaning of these eternal thoughts - celluloid alchemy.
The question of whether all this is even real stops being important pretty quickly. Your mind is already sinking deeper & deeper into clear Mesopotamian honey - and the clarity of the hive's thoughts will dissolve you, and the burden our hubris & skepticism goes with it.
Look, it's just a movie. But it's not a movie you watch, it's a movie you can get inside of and walk around in.
