Breath of fresh air washed through stark cinematic clouds of nihilism and violence. Not all of it is as controlled in it demolished narrative which is not as thought provoking as it wants to be. But bleedy hell this film has some pretty organic magic going down onscreen in its chapters like the first one which is somthing I can point to when I want to showcase why I the dig the shit out of movies.
I had watched this film when I was a kid, at that time, how could I have possibly known how the perpetual nature of memories as narrative would spark my interest in pure films like Solaris then stoke the flames for my even more habitual appetite for movies as a constant cerebral escape.
