Annabelle: Creation

Annabelle: Creation ★★★

Horror movies travel pretty well anyway. They're like action movies: People overseas can watch them and enjoy them, and they're not so culturally specific in terms of their references, and they can follow a good scary story.

Annabelle: Creation 2017

Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle

If horror movies have shown us anything it is if the kids get a new toy or board game it's evil.

Now I am easy to scare when it comes to dolls. I dont know if its the fact i saw a  scene from 'Child'sPlay' at too young an age. When the 'The Conjuring' came out in 2013 and i was there opening weekend. The movie had a opening with this doll and I was hooked from the start. So when we got our first spin off I was so looking foward to it. Then the movie came out and if you can't scare me with a doll that's not a good sign for your movie, especially with a doll that has already scared me. So when I heard we were going to get yet another movie about this thing i did not care. Then I find out we get the Director of 'Lights Out' I was sold.  What i loved so much about 'Lights Out' was it felt like a story you would tell around a camp fire. What this film lacks in original story telling it makes up for in screen presence. There is nothing new here to win over new horror fans but for people that have a tast for this kind of thing you will have some fun with it. It's not a movie to run out and see but if you have free night and want to redbox its worth the watch.
