    The Green Knight

Feel like Arthurian purists might be pissed by this specific interpretation of the timeless tale of Sir Gawain, but David Lowery turns his version of The Green Knight into an immaculate and unconventional coming-of-age odyssey that is significantly more confrontational in its exploration of honor and the true purpose of a knight's life. I'm in love with it and I'm more than willing to watch again in the near future.

See it on the big screen so you can fully process the shot of Dev Patel's baby gravy.

A hilarious, heartbreaking, and brutally honest depiction of authoritarianism, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest has the power to connect even 45 years after being adapted to the screen and I for one am truly ashamed to have missed it for so long. I live for movies like this.

Whenever I want to be annoyed at Jim Cummings unfollowing the majority of Film Twitter, I think of this film and instantly forgive him.

Old is a testament not just to M. Night Shyamalan's ability to run with any strange concept for a film, but the loads of disturbing shit you can get away with in a PG-13 movie. Has the insane goofiness of The Happening while also nailing its themes of life passing us by on a much more consistent basis. This will definitely divide the Shyamalan fandom, but as someone who was able to appreciate The Woman in the Window for what it was, I hope Shyamalan only gets weirder and less accessible with each passing film.
