I wasn't ready for this, holy shit.
I really don't know what to feel about this film, It's weird but beautifully shot, performances were great specially Alexia/Adrien's character. At first, the story wasn't really that clear to me, to the point that I needed to read a lot of reviews for me to understand more what this film was all about, what it wanted to tell to the viewers. I've read different interpretations about this film, and it all made sense. But in my opinion, Raw was still better than this film, but I appreciate the out-of-the-box concept and unique approach of story telling.
I really love this film, the cinematography, the actors, the story, and the execution was just impressive. I was moved on the part where the Gwangju taxi drivers helped Kim and Peter.
Tho on this film, Kim Sa-bok's back story and life was just fictional because the year this film made, they still didn't find the real taxi driver. However, as I searched online, the real taxi driver passed away in 1984 from liver cancer and the German journalist passed away in 2016. If you want to know more about Kim's real life, you can read it here and also this one.
