Tenet ★★★½

a Nolan Film that encapsulates and amplifies literally every Nolanism in existence:
-it revolves around a high concept idea that requires a fuckton of exposition and leaves room for a fuckton of contradictions, but the pacing is great and you enjoy the spectacle
-the visuals are top-notch
-it has an awesome score that you never fully appreciate because the mixing sucks ass
-the characters, though not super well defined or multi-dimensional, are well performed and it's fun watching them interact with each other
-you count at least one cringeworthy line of dialogue
-there's a payoff that will blow your mind and/or a payoff that will make your eyes roll into the back of your skull
-you can tell how much Christopher Nolan cares about his kids
