This is an interesting film, to say the least, It is very divisive and all depends on the viewer's preference. I went with a friend to a press screening and he went in excited after hearing reviews while I was hesitant because of the trailer. What was funny was that I left pleasantly surprised while he was disappointed. The dialogue was very sharp but cringy at times in the "old person just found out what eBay was" type of way…

This was the perfect end for this series, one that highlights how scary the world is and how fucked up and depressing the world is, yet the ending was full pf hope as the film makes a major pivot from the original series by highlighting the beauty of the world and how while the world might be scary, it is also beautiful, and you have to experience some pain and learn to live with it in order to move on…

I only watched this because I knew Kensuke Ushio composed the music, I was pleasantly surprised by how good the movie was. The animation was beautiful and only a handful of coming of age anime films can avoid falling victim to anime tropes and this film joins that rank. My only complaints are that I couldn’t really appreciate the haikus as I can’t read Japanese text. Another complaint is that the pacing was slow during the first and second act,…

A beautiful yet tragic romance that forces viewers to come to terms with their own mortality while encouraging them to live their best possible lives so as to get the best out of it as we never know when we die. As an adaptation to the manga its faithful and executed perfectly... as a film... not so much. While those already familiar with the medium and the philosophy and culture of japan will without a doubt enjoy the film, it…

This was a film that unfortunately many compared to your name and didn’t like it as much which is a shame. Weathering with you is far better structured story wise but does suffer from a pacing issue just like Your Name. As per usual with Shinkai films, its the soundtrack and score that always stand out and are what the emotional scenes heavily rely on. Weathering with you is probably my favorite film by Makoto Shinkai and probably his best after his success with garden of words and Your Name.
    8/10 Shinkai’s best work yet.

This is my first Pixar film that I’ve seen since kindergarten and that I didn’t watch in 6th grade so this movie was definitely an experience for me, the voice acting was amazing, and the movie had a superb score with stunning animation to support it. The story and characters are probably even stronger than the last 3 factors listed, everything about this movie I loved and it is already one of my favorites not only in this year but probably ever.
    10/10 would recommend 👍

    Wonder Woman 1984

    ★★★

Decent, thats about it, Pedro Pascal is really good though, hans zimmers score is easily the best part of the movie. A really noticeable pacing issue and felt more like a children's cartoon in the first act and then the second act felt like a reaaaaaalllllyyyyyyy long romance movie but the third act was good but not great especially where a lot of other shows and films were able to portray their themes even better. Also expect cgi and effects that you would see in cw shows and if not, even worse but that part is excusable due to the covid pandemic.
