"It seems to me that everybody stakes their lives in a lost cause. Looking over them all from up here, I almost think I can see their hopes and dreams flickering in each little light."

    "Like a bonfire of dreams."

Berserk isn't something I've talked about often. It's my favorite story in any media. I know that's a huge claim, but I really think it's true. It's easily one of my biggest inspirations for storytelling, showing me the true heavy…

"Hey, pretty girl, time to wake up."

Diane had once found the Hollywood sign beautiful. Naive; nothing but a wide eyed child. All she had wanted was an escape into a fairytale, so desperately, that she had never thought of the consequences. It has taken her too long to realise something bad was happening. Ask your heart, don't you believe what you're doing is wrong?

It is not wrong, if it helps even a few people.

While certainly comparable to The Godfather trilogy, Nayakan is still its very own incredible beast. The cinematography stands out, managing to look gritty and beautiful at the same time, the colors popping out like crazy. Velu Naicker is a really interesting protagonist, and the transformation you see from him during the runtime is chilling. A haunting look at toxic family cycles repeating themselves.

Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

As someone who hasn't even delved much into The Beatles, this was fantastic and one of my favorite 2021 releases. Managed to keep me invested for the entire three episodes, and I never once felt bored. Honestly a great hangout film, just good vibes all around.
