About to expose myself to you all. My mother, big brother and I went to see this movie, If my memory serves me correct, at least 3 times in the theaters when this came out. When it came to DVD, guess what, we watched this a zillion times. I don’t know why, it’s silly, dumb, generic, charmless and absolutely ridiculous to even think something of this nature can be entertaining but I shamelessly admit, it truly is entertaining.
I still love the T-Rex vs the Spinosaurus fight. I still enjoy the late Michael Jeter’s comedic lines that still makes me chuckle and smile. I still love seeing Dr. Grant basically babysit adult “tourists” and being witty while doing so. I still appreciate Billy being a young side anti hero that looks majestic when parachuting. I still love the Birdcage scene with the Pterodactyls.
What I’m trying to say is, compared to the other two before this, it’s obviously a big pile of poop to dig our hands into and I’m fully aware of its continuous flaws but with that said, the stuff that I loved as an 11 year old boy, I apparently still love today.
