A breathtaking cinematic experience thanks to Villeneuve’s exceptional creative direction and world building. The way this film is able to capture its crucial character and story moments through the creative use of sound, cinematography, editing and pace is what made it so incredibly effective and truly elevated this film into an unforgettable experience. Loved it so much and couldn’t be happier with what DUNE delivered after patiently waiting for its release for over 2 years. You owe it to yourself to go experience this in a theater this weekend ! Solid 9/10

An obscure erotic suspense horror that serves as a homage to the Giallo era of filmmaking. It’s purely driven through visual and aesthetic storytelling which is what made this so immersive and admirable. Unfortunately the third act is as a disappointment. Still a film I think everyone should give a chance and even take notes from in terms of how to express language visually. 7/10

A Brian De Palma film that kinda surprised me. I enjoyed it very much and that’s thanks to De Palma’s direction and fun 80s camp. The art gallery scene in the first act is perfection. 8/10

Kind of a hot take but I like this a bit better than The Seventh Seal. This is a great interpretive  psychological thriller/horror to watch in Spooktober. 8/10

    Trick 'r Treat

    ★★★½

Trick ‘r treat is what I consider to be a halloween essential. It captures the spooky atmosphere and aesthetic of fall and Halloween so damn well. It’s also just a dark, fun and entertaining watch. It’s a film that takes itself seriously in terms of how it’s presented but at the same time embraces it’s goofy approach to its horror homages. Besides it being a bit predictable and having a stylistic choice of using a Marilyn Manson song that didn’t work for me, it’s a great adult Halloween flick I’d recommend to huge fans of the holiday like myself . 7/10

Even though this has a few sequences that are genuinely bone chilling, it couldn’t save this films unnecessary 2 hour run time, underdeveloped characters and uninspired dialogue. Sucks because there are a handful of incredibly effective and creatively crafted horror. But overall this film is squandered potential. 5/10

    ★★★½

Lamb…. Is going to without a doubt be a divisive film. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who isn’t accustomed to slower paced arthouse filmmaking and looking for an October scare. I wouldn’t really even classify this as a horror film because thats incredibly misleading. So, overall I personally enjoyed many aspects of this film despite the fact that the simplicity of its story and substance doesn’t justify its runtime. The literal approach to the third act was kinda shocking to…

    ★★★½

I’m sure that this is going to be the most bizarre film I will see all year and perhaps years to come. It’s relentless with its graphic imagery, sexuality and artistic liberties. It’s a film that has an illogical and arguably dumb concept driving the character and plot and… for me I don’t think it works fully but at the same time it’s not like it doesn’t work. Overall I think the acting is incredible, especially from the lead actress. And I love that it was never boring throughout its run time and serves as an excellent discussion piece. Strong 7/10

Hands down one of the best films ever made. I really didn’t think The Good, The Bad and The Ugly could be topped but dammit Leone found a way. The direction, camera work, morricones score, character writing and dialogue is all on a whole other level and made this near 3 hour experience fly by. One of my favorites of all time for sure. 10/10

I don’t watch a lot of insane B grade body horror but I’m glad I’ve seen the ones that I have seen. This was so much fun. Its intentionally cheesy and dumb while also being extremely off putting and boundary pushing. The finale to this film, the final 15 mins, is some of the most obscene pieces of imagery I’ve ever seen. kudos to the direction and the over the top practical effects. 8/10

PTAs directorial debut and it’s one of the more impressive debuts I’ve ever seen. The style is subtle and classy while catching you off guard with it’s dark turn in the second act. Hoffman’s 4 minutes of screen time is arguably the most entertaining moment in the entire film. 8/10
