Pulpy, pink, and pissed as hell. One of the most consistently engaging films of the year. I understand the argument that it lacks nuance (and I recommend The Assistant for a more quiet, thoughtful depiction of similar subject matter) but it hit enough of the right beats to absolutely work for me. Incredible soundtrack and visuals and I think it balances terror and comedy well enough. Carey Mulligan has been one of my favorite actresses of all time for awhile so it's no surprise that she knocks it out of the park. One of my faves of the year.
