    Space Jam: A New Legacy

You guys know the drill: 90s kid loves 'SPACE JAM', waits what feels like an eternity for a follow-up, enjoys the ACME truckload of fun it packs, but wishes it was closer to the original film he adores so much.

The OG Michael Jordan-starrer is the definition of a formative film for me and while this newer, shinier version did enough to remind me why I loved its predecessor, something was missing that isn't at all a result of decades鈥

Have you ever been at a party and gotten stuck talking to someone who you just do not vibe with at all and can't seem to find a way out of the conversation? Anyone who's been through it can surely attest that there's a particular kind of anxiety that comes with feeling like you're trapped in that kind of context. That feeling is one that 'No matar谩s' plays up really well.

Blending the feverish, "run all night" air of 'GOOD鈥

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

    I was shocked by this.

I don't usually like including spoilers in my reviews but this is one instance for which it feels appropriate. If you want to avoid any spoilers for this, don't read on.

    TW: Suicide

Okay, so, after taking a step back and seeing the big picture intention behind 'YO, ADOLESCENTE''s upsetting content, I get what it was going for. BUT the way this script and overall film are structured feel flippant to a鈥

The 90s debut of everyone's favorite knife-gloved sociopath is a lot of cheesy, ridiculous fun and, in my opinion, an improvement on the previous two entries. Yep, I said it. I love that Rachel Talalay's film creatively swings for the fences with its mythology, rule-bending, and campy attitude. Robert Englund seems to be having the most fun he's ever had as the murdery sweater afficionado in this and that makes a ton of sense for the character when you think鈥

Wholesome Latino and Black representation in a horror film. We love to see it!

Vampires vs. the Bronx is much more than the latest Netflix flavor of the week. In it's modest way, this mainstream-friendly vamp-hunting jaunt is a big deal, not only because it is led by a trio of adorable kids who happen to be people of color, but because it also manages to imbue a dusty genre mainstay with a vitally urgent message that is very much鈥

Dylan O'Brien? More like Dylan O'My-God-I-Didn't-Realize-How-Much-I-Needed-You-During-This-Pandemic-ien

Hope and optimism are in short supply these days and when someone embodies them as saliently as the ever-lovable lead of Love and Monsters does, it's akin to finding treasure buried in your yard. Okay, maybe it's not exactly like that but when you're constantly bombarded by bleak societal forecasts courtesy of all too real monsters (whether they be spray-tanned or pathogenic), bright, mood-boosting actors like O'Brien in bright, mood-boosting鈥
