Thanapat Poonsapya’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Terminator does everything that a great blockbuster should do, it spends the first 10 minutes asking audiences questions, then spends the rest of the film answering them. That's how Cameron keeps the audience engaged the whole way through without the massive budget.
It's also a film that keeps surprising the audience, and at the same time every scene is used to teach the audience something new. All of this came from the screenplay and the direction, which proves how great James Cameron is as a filmmaker, even now that we sometimes make fun of him, but we can't argue that he's still the king of blockbusters.
A true classic.
