    The Amusement Park

George A. Romero’s The Amusement Park contains such a raw message about how society perceives and treats the elderly, you’d think it was made in the 70’s and released 49 years later just to prove that we wouldn’t change our ways. It’s a film that certainly makes you think.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It begins with high intensity. The story looked like it was going down a fresh route for this franchise but unfortunately they took a few steps in a new direction, before retreating and going back down a path that is more familiar.

    Red, White and Blue

Red, White & Blue is the best entry thus far in Steve McQueen’s Small Axe. It’s raw & led by a career best performance from John Boyega. It brilliantly weaves the familial drama that surrounded Leroy’s decision to join the police force, with the racial abuse that plagued him.

  • Mangrove

Small Axe: Mangrove tells a real life story that ought to be taught in schools. These type of Black stories don’t get told enough, especially when it’s about the racial injustice and systemic racism in England. It’s on BBC iPlayer and everyone should watch it.
