Jacob’s review published on Letterboxd:
Promising Young Woman attacks its heavy subject matter head on with one of the best performances, scripts, and direction of the entire year. Carey Mulligan is a force, and Emerald Fennell is wholefully artistic and delivers a stylish and powerful behind the camera. This movie tackles its subject matter with the aggressive garavitas it needs to really get to the audience. The symbolic and metaphorical moments are all over the place and definitely need multiple viewings to take in.
