Rewatched on blu-ray. Enjoyed it again. Here is my original review:

I thought it was an intelligent, socially conscious horror film that I enjoyed. I thought Nia DaCosta did a very good job directing the film, building on the legacy of the original Candyman and putting her own spin on it. The story was told in a smart and satisfying way. I felt the cast, especially Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Colman Domingo, gave effective and engaging performance For me, this is the 5th best film of the year so far. Highly recommended.

I liked it. I thought it was fun for the most part. Sure it is a little campy and a little soapy, but I was entertained.

The other young girls in…

Terry Gilliam's masterfully directs this beautiful film about a despondent former radio DJ and his relationship with a mentally disturbed homeless man. Jeff Bridges is excellent in the lead role, with a performance that is layered, humane and believable. Robin Williams gives one of his best performances and brings humour and heart to the role. The screenplay is intelligent, funny and heartfelt. The Fisher King is a wonderful masterpiece that is a joy to watch and has now become one of my favourite films.
