I thoroughly enjoy this movie, but the question must be asked: why wasn’t Matrix’s daughter written as his wife? It would have been the easiest change to make. Jenny makes breakfast for Matrix, engages with him in thoughtful conversation, shares kisses with him, ostensibly spends every second of every day with him, and generally acts like his thirty-five year old wife, but is actually his teenage daughter.
