I'm sure Friends revolutionized primetime TV. It had a universal appeal that took the world by storm. 6 friends in NYC, their friendship, relationships, and woes with witty writing is so relatable even today. Back in the day, I couldn't cancel my Netflix subscription for Friends. I always left it on in the background when I'm back from work. Even when I'm not watching, I used to repeat the dialogue and playback the scene in my head. The show got me through some tough times.
When the news of the reunion broke, I wasn't expecting a rehash of the show with story continuation. I'm just happy they got together to reminisce and spill some beans. It's not a great idea to reboot. I can't think of a possibility of ruining the show forever if that doesn't work.
One of the best sitcoms ever made. You are never too cool for Friends!
