    Les Misérables

An utter destruction of the music. Hugh kinda pisses me off in this. The barricade scene of them being killed is filmed well and quite stressful. A couple good performances. Made Master of the House somehow very slow and dull. Also only just realised how Marius is from a rich fam and goes from crying about his dead pals to marrying Cosette and having a fancy party in his daddy's mansion like next day.

On the flip, I really love Les Mis and some songs will always get to me, even if the camera and editing makes me want to vomit.

I'm honestly not sure how to talk about this film because there's so many issues up against it that really kind of make this a bit of a "Pixar dud" but even that is to be mean. Unfortunately when you're a studio that so consistently gives out 4-5 star films, something has to fall short some day.

Maybe it's the difficult production and relegation of the female director to co-director, did something go wrong during production that pixar heads didn't…

Ah fuck 😭😭😭 that really got me. ANOTHER PIXAR, ANOTHER CRY.

Those action sequences, the magic... just... WOW. THE DRAGON - the visual and sound design was perfect.
