This is a pretty wild story. The filmmakers just happened to stumble onto this massive conspiracy without even trying to. And the character of Dr Grigory is just hilarious. Almost every word out of his mouth is pure gold. It is clear that the film was originally focused on the experiment of trying to get faster by doping but then they realized how funny Dr Grigory was and just followed him into an insane conspiracy. I thought this was fun but it was a bit too long for my taste. I prefer shorter form documentaries and it just couldn’t keep my attention for 2 hours

This is easily America’s biggest contribution to martial arts films. All of the action in this is absolutely phenomenal. Admittedly the first hour or so is a little unevenly paced and it definitely dragged a little but after that first half of the film it just becomes an absolute blast. The entire cast is perfect. Nobody else could play these characters to the same effect. Keanu is Neo, Laurence Fishburne is Morpheus, Carrie-Anne Moss is trinity, and of course Hugo Weaving is Agent Smith. Rewatching this only makes me more excited for Resurrections
