    For B Dizzles 80th

Witnessing Dylan snow ball to the unintentional lash out (Highway 61 Revisited) towards many of his own fans and disingenuously concerned journalists is quite the spectacle; always perplexing, earnest, and mischievously benevolent.

“I just didn’t want the glass to hurt anyone, man”

Pennebaker’s clairvoyant camera and astute editing is something to behold.

Feels like nothing more than an A24 collage board of their die hard fans favorite horror elements, so that “decisive” and “interpretive” conversations can poison the air on the walk out of the theater.

    These bones are hollow.

These films are so immaculately framed, each composition is in full homogeny with the edit.

It is constantly propelling even when the narrative itself becomes convoluted- Chikashi Makiura is using the camera at every chance to elevate geography, character, tone, intent and pacing and it’s so beautiful.

Not only does this define race perception/relations through television history thoroughly, but also the wholistic issue with the family/situational sitcom and it’s purpose in society- to corrupt your mind of the actual conditions we live in, to settle for the idealized world on screen, rather than point out the reality happening in everyday life.

Truly makes you wonder about how this model has been contorted to work in the new media age, the beast is always changing.

Marlon Riggs is so undervalued it’s insane.

Stealing THE DOUBLE LIFE OF VÉRONIQUE score for this inconsistent, repercussion-less, manipulative and harmful slog is a crime.

I hate this mf Sam Levinson so much.

Y’know I just like it when movies are properly exposed and don’t have continuous shallow focus. Unimaginably humiliating considering this boasts in gaudy pink lettering: “DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY- ZACK SNYDER”.

Has no right being 2hr 28min, especially when your movie is this much of an eye sore. Holy shit.
