    Cemetery of Splendor

On one hand, this is a dense text that I would willingly spend many lengthy rewatches absorbing every minutiae of every frame in order to deconstruct and understand everything that Joe is doing here. However viewing this film late at night whilst rather fittingly on the verge of sleep (I wasn't gonna let those spirits of dead kings use my energy) , it's a remarkably hypnotic experience that washes over you immediately with its ethereal beauty.

    Just Terrific. Bring on Memoria.

  • Old

I see Shyamalan is up to his Old tricks again.

A showcase of his best and weaker tendencies as a filmmaker with wildly inventive and thought-provoking ideas mixed with his trademark operatic goofiness. These modes are at odds throughout most of the film, but when the emotional beats land, Shyamalan shines with something unexpectedly profound without overstating it.

In case you didn't think that Sia made this misguided and embarrassingly offensive film to make her feel better about herself and massage her oversize ego and saviour complex, she literally plays herself in a cameo where she buys percocets and other painkillers off Kate Hudson's drug dealer character to help out earthquake victims in Haiti.

Honestly one of the worst films I've seen in a long time.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run

Anyone who said they had "Snoop Dogg music number with dancing Cowboy Pirate Zombies in the middle of a Spongebob movie" on their 2020 bingo card is a goddamn liar
