Liz’s review published on Letterboxd:
Had to do a double take when I saw that this was released in 1983 and not 1978. The big twist in this is hardly a twist -- we pretty much know what's going on and where this is heading from the start, but what makes it so good is the atmosphere, that sense of dread that slowly gives way to resigned inevitability. Carnival of Souls is the easily reference point, but so much of this reminds me of Bava and some of the other Italian horror directors. Merry Christmas -- you're dead!
