Sam Kohn’s review published on Letterboxd:
‘John Wick with Bob Odenkirk’ is the sort of so-obvious-it’s-genius casting decision that makes you wonder why it doesn’t happen more often.
Where’s the Lara Croft reboot with Alison Janney? Why hasn’t Stanley Tucci played Rocky yet? Audiences will always go berserk for ‘normal’ actors doing abnormal things, and the sooner Hollywood realises that the better.
Speaking of realisations, I’m just now realising that Bob Odernkirk is only 22 months older than Keanu Reeves, which 1) what the fuck 2) says to me that John Wick has always been about a suburban dad on the rampage. The only difference here is the receding hairline.
