My Neighbor Totoro

Far from Miyazaki’s best, but remains a delightful reminder of the beauty within a childlike sense of wonder nonetheless. Most forget what it’s like, Miyazaki obviously didn’t and this his reminder of why children are the most precious gifts of all. It’s about finding joy and peace in simplicity, something I know I should take note of.

Ps. Bathing scene took me by surprise. Definitely am not used to seeing dad’s bathing naked alone with his two daughters. Ah, the little cultural differences!
