Casino Royale was considered a game changer for the franchise and it’s pretty evident why. The first film in the franchise that rises above being just a spy-action film and explores the dehumanising effect of being a state sanctioned killer.

After numerous legal battles kept postponing the next Bond film, Timothy Dalton quit and the role was recast with Pierce Brosnan who became the definitive Bond of the 90s.

Have absolutely no idea why people are mixed on this. This was so much entertaining. Has a really interesting concept, admittedly, with which they could’ve gone a bit deeper but ultimately plays as a 90s action flick with some interesting thematic points.
