    I’m am so happy Part 2 is happening! Dune is an expertly crafted sci-fi epic that absolutely deserves to be seen on the biggest screen possible. It’s an audio/visual delight. It presents a world the feels incredibly lived in and defined.

    The cast is excellent, and too my surprise I actually liked Timothée Chalamet in this. I don’t think he is a bad actor, he is just really good at playing brooding teenager. He does the same thing here but…

    Squid Game was a massive disappointment. It’s proof that a series cannot be carried by a fun concept alone. This is the current trending flavor of the month for Netflix and I see why. It has a fun idea and the visual aesthetic is striking, but beneath the surface it is a hollow mess.

    The script is the worst offender here. The dialogue is often quite cheesy and ham fisted. All the characters are so inherently selfish or thinly defined…

    Malignant is a ton of fun and so much better than the trailers made it look. This is James Wan’s love letter to giallo and slasher films. The marketing didn’t convey that the film is a campy ride. It’s silly in a very intentional way. The opening sequence does a spectacular job at setting the tone with over the top acting, kinetic camera work, and the setting of a spooky hospital on a hill.

    I wish the entire movie stayed…
