Raul Marques’s review published on Letterboxd:
Fuck. Fox's gets to the heart of how trauma can be experienced, but not just any one, hers. Nonlinear, hazy a lot more ambiguous than what could be seen from the outside. Actively avoids the simpler path of sticking to a depiction that's completely subservient to buzz words, confrontational catharsis and criminal justice, and instead paints a protagonist that's often distressingly gullible or flat out self-abnegating. The unorthodox montage plays a big role in that, but would be nothing without Dern's accomplished performance. Sad to attest that movies like this would probably never stop being timely.
