    Whiskey Tango Foxtrot

I love you Tina Fey, but this was not it. I’m going to take this as a sign to go to bed because this marks the second TRASH film I’ve seen in a row.

  • The Gallows

    The Gallows

Week 3: low budget, big box office

The best I can do is one star. The premise was cool, so I’ll give the movie that. The rest of the film… hell no. What an annoying waste of time.

  • Carol

    42. Cate Blanchett

I’m currently very ill with Covid, so I thought watching this would provide a comforting afternoon watch… yeah no, now I’m sobbing even though I’m congested and have a sore throat..

  • Scream

    HORRORx52 | 4. Released in 2022

UGH, Scream is back!! The new creative team for scream is made up of entirely fans, and it completely shows! This was essentially my Spider-Man: No Way Home. So much care and love was put into this movie. The team behind this didn’t want to outshine or just copy Wes Craven’s work. They simply just wanted to honor him and follow along in his foot steps… and they did it oh so successfully.

  • Scream 2

    Scream 2

I just have 68 hours to go until my showing of Scream. 😮‍💨

This is the best scream sequel (and possibly best entry period) in the franchise as of now. You can argue all you want and try to tell me it’s not, but you’ll be arguing at a wall practically. You can’t tell me anything.

    (I love you Cici!)

(And you too Derek, my beloved ❤️)

  • Hellraiser: Deader

    Hellraiser: Deader

Jesus this franchise really fell off. This is starting to become painful to watch. Not quite a 1 star movie as the movie does lean into just how absurd this shit is but yeahhhh.... Why am I doing this to myself? I just have 3 more to go.

Can't believe I payed money to watch this.

  • An American Werewolf in London

    An American Werewolf in London

I remember hearing someone say this movie was “gateway horror” for younger kids, and I really want to talk to this person now. I mean, this had tits, dick, and graphic gore.. but go off I guess?

Yeah, this was great and I see how this is my dad’s all time favorite horror movie. It’s quite funny, it’s entertaining, and it’s really intense when it’s dedicated to its horror elements. The wolf attack and the subway scene especially made me quite uncomfortable. (Don’t even get me started on the WONDERFUL practical effects)

I’m glad I FINALLY watched this one.

  • Persona

    6. 1960s

Found my new film to obsess over. The opening sequence immediately grabbed me, and I knew that I was going to love this… and I was right. I’m a sucker for psychological horror films (yes, let’s be honest, this is a horror film). There’s so much going on, and I think I only picked up 25% of it all. So much about identity, sexuality, humanity, and that’s just a simplification of it all because I am wayyy too…

  • Showgirls

    Year 1995: Showgirls

Quick, for a dollar, name one good male character in this movie…. I’m waiting…

Is there an argument for this movie being deeply misogynistic? Yeah, mostly definitely…

Could you argue that this is a misunderstood genius piece of satire? Yes… most definitely.

That’s kinda what makes Showgirls so deeply appealing and appalling. It’s a movie that is so immersive and easy to watch. I honestly don’t know what to fully make of it, but all I know is…

  • Sympathy for Lady Vengeance

    Sympathy for Lady Vengeance

    Year 2005: Lady Vengeance

This is my 5th Park Chan-wook film, and he has managed to leave me completely speechless after viewing all of his films. Just wow. If I were to rank the movies I’ve seen by him, I think this would be in the top 3.

  • The French Dispatch

    The French Dispatch

Such a fun movie! I smiled through most of it. This is essentially Wes Anderson going full Wes Anderson. It’s not my favorite, but it’s just so hard to dislike. The charisma and charm practically oozes from the screen during every scene.

  • The Artist

    The Artist

    Week 1: Best Picture Winner

Yeah, this was quite sweet! I enjoyed it, but ultimately have nothing to add. This is not quite my thing, but I did ultimately enjoy it.
