The sad tale of a little kid who drowns but no one cares because they're too busy looking for a different missing child.
In all seriousness, it's very refreshing when a film works without having a complex plot or even an antagonist. The animation was beautiful but this is a Miyazaki film. That's like saying water is wet. The Totoro was fun and the little Totoros were fucking hilarious! Overall, this was just a fun and lighthearted film that brought about childlike feelings of happiness. The English dub was a little distracting at times though.

I was a damn fool for not rating this higher. I don’t know what came over me.
