"Watch out, Dave, they are after you!"
"... One 'they' or many 'theys'?"
Ngelawaknya gak nanggung2 🤣🤣🤣
Baru beberapa hari impactnya udah gede banget. RIP
First half : Such a fun film about friendship and subsidized-dates.
Second half : It's getting existential and stressful just like classic Hideaki Anno, wtf?????? 😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰 Is that Kakihara the charismatic SM guy from Ichi The Killer? 😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰♥️♥️♥️
From pervert and boob jokes and badass giants fighting with classical and rock music as the soundtrack, to deep existential philosophy from 19th-20th century. WTF? *Confused screaming*
"Shit went from 0 to 100 real quick!"
Of course i googled for explanation, and watched it two times (also rewatched episode 24-26 of NGE). Shame on me and my ostrich brain.
"I can't accept this reality anymore."
Ponirah wants to get out of the past but the past surrounds her. Trapped in a room without walls. Ponirah is haunted.
It has a good story and is pretty well executed but the acting is meh.
And how tf does the rough editing make the film quite intense?
"I don't have what you might call a dream. I don't even know where i'll be one year from now *chuckles*. I don't care what happens to me *chuckles*. I don't seem to be able to have dreams, plans *chuckles*. It's good enough just to be alive. My goal is to be positive and joyful."
Those chuckles are hurtful, i hope they don't feel lost anymore and hope they are alright.
Yesterday i watched Masahiro Shinoda's Silence (1971), i gotta say that Scorsese's one has beautiful visuals, more powerful lines, slower pace than Shinoda's.
But for me Shinoda's one is more emotional than this (maybe it's because i already know what's going to happen because i watched Shinoda's first).
And the ending is so much different, Shinoda's one is more hopeless.
