    Yesterday i watched Masahiro Shinoda's Silence (1971), i gotta say that Scorsese's one has beautiful visuals, more powerful lines, slower pace than Shinoda's.
    But for me Shinoda's one is more emotional than this (maybe it's because i already know what's going to happen because i watched Shinoda's first).
    And the ending is so much different, Shinoda's one is more hopeless.
