Zack Snyder's Justice League

Zack Snyder's Justice League ★★★

Gadot’s gratingly awful performance and the villain/villain plot being as totally dull as the usual stuff made in this vein unfortunately tanks a lot of this for me, but there’s for once a convincing emotional core here in the Cyborg story (“I am not broken” is beautiful), and it’s hard not to support what this movie represents. I don’t get why anyone would be against an artist getting to put out the intended/ideal version of their film - seems like an extremely anti-art stance to me, whether you think the director in question is any good or not. While Snyder - the excellent Watchmen aside - isn’t really the filmmaker for me, I’m glad for him and his fans.
