Brett der Wiese, B.S.’s review published on Letterboxd:
Leans more into body horror and retools the lore of the monster man well enough, which makes sense. This sequel is reclaiming a property about black bodies and lives from an original film with a white lead, writer, and director, after all. The musical soundscape really imbues a hell of a mood into this film early on, playing with clicks and throbbing synth samples. Overall, I enjoyed my time, even if it did not surpass my love for the original film creation, seeing as there is way too little Tony Todd for my money.
