Beauty expressed with every shot, colors so elegantly corrected and even more noticeable with a second watch. Chung does an outstanding job, his writing worthy of every bit of praise and his directing perfectly balanced between needed features. My only real complaint is that I wanted more, every scene captured my gaze and I felt things could've gone on longer and touched upon perfection.
Yeun is Incredible, his portrayal of Jacob is so heartfelt and realistic and I feel that he's definitely worthy of a nomination. Jung is fantastic and (much like Yeun) realistic, Kim is also great and gives one of the best child performances of the year, there isn't a mediocre performance here, and that's a hard feat to genuinely pull off. A24 continues to give us consistent content, and Minari is one of last year's best films.
(Also, I'd like to wish everyone who reads this a happy new year and a hopefully great 2021)
