Ryan Daniel’s review published on Letterboxd:
Ohhhhhh yes. Take those goddamn reigns Cuarón. The quality of filmmaking from the last one to this one is astounding. This one is really, really good and so much fun to watch.
This one is a lot darker, more deep and much more complex. The first two kind of sidestepped any real emotional or intimate storytelling, but this one hits the balance of lighthearted charm and sophisticated emotional depth perfectly.
I’m hoping some of the rest of them are this good.
