Ryan Daniel’s review published on Letterboxd:
This one is definitely a step down from the first one. I’m not even gonna lie I kind of hate the first half of this movie. It has some good moments, but the wrong place wrong time cliché is so incredibly overused that it started to get laughable. The first half is also really cheesy in a way that doesn’t work nearly as well as it did in the first film.
The second half of this film is pretty good though, it’s a lot darker and superiorly structured. It’s paced better and flows a lot smoother than the very clunky first half, and that pretty much saved it for me. It did do a pretty good job of building on the first film as well, but it just took too long to do so.
