    I Care a Lot

    ★★★

Manipulative, interesting, and unique in it's execution, I Care a Lot is a dark comedy and commentary on capitalism. The film does a fantastic job showing how far individuals are willing to go for profit in a capitalist system. However, we didn't really get to see the consequence of many actions that took place throughout the film which left me feeling unsatisfied by the ending.

I Care a Lot has been divisive with a 36% audience score and a 80%…

Ever since I watched Seven Samurai, which was my first Kurosawa film, I fell in love in his work. There's something about the way he creates his films that really resonates with me.

Sometimes when I sit to watch a movie it can be really difficult to focus. Sometimes I start to feel depressed and anxious, the feeling of melancholy starts to go through my entire body and I'm unable to enjoy myself. I frequently pause movies and I struggle…

    Space Jam: A New Legacy

Space Jam: A New Legacy is in the same boat as The Lion King (2019).
It feels like a soulless cash grab.

There are so many films each year, some are great and some are disappointments. However, there are very few films that I watch and absolutely despise. Sadly, Space Jam: A New Legacy falls into that category.

From the opening sequence of the film, where we see a young LeBron James playing a Looney Tunes game on an old…

Journey to the Beginning of Time

    ★★½

This film is very charming visually, but it lacks in story and character.

There's a feeling of nostalgia in every frame through its unique creatures, environments, and plants. But, that's all I got from this film.

There's also some pretty cool environmental messages about lifes constant evolution. The world is always changing and its creatures always find a way to adapt.

This would make for a pretty cool, "How far we've come and how far we have to go" double feature if it was paired with a modern environmental film.

Film nine of my Godzilla vs Kong marathon.
    (Team Kong all the way)

I have mixed feelings on this one. I want to love this because it's Peter Jackson, but there are so many problems with this movie. You can really see Jacksons passion for the original film, even though it lead to a few awkward references that felt out of place. King Kong also came at a strange time in Jackson's career. It was released between the beloved LOTR…

    The Mummy Returns

    ★★½

Even though I'm a 2000s kid, I didn't grow up with at lot of the classic 2000s adventure movies (Besides Journey To The Center of The Earth, that was my shit).

Recently I've watched Nation Treasure, National Treasure 2, The Mummy, and now, The Mummy Returns. There's something so fun and nostalgic about The Mummy Returns even though I didn't grow up with it. Don't get me wrong, the film has huge issues. But these issues are pretty easy to…
