Words can not fucking describe this fucking nightmare. I feel like I've been forced into a fucking MK Ultra program. This film broke me, I spent a good half of it uncontrollably laughing at basically nothing. Genuinely one of the most discomforting and unstable things I've seen, often kinda disturbing in an odd way. It feels like living in a the red room in Twin Peaks and being forced to stare at horrors unknown to man. My chest hurts, my eyes are tear stained and I can't stop fucking bursting into random uncontrolled laughter.

Pretty fucking solid action flick. Love the concept and the interpretations of these characters, may have to check out the comic some time. Also the CGI here is really not bad at all, some is a little dated but most of it is pretty sweet.

  • Assault on Wall Street

    Assault on Wall Street

    ★★★½

I've been saying for a while now that Uwe Boll is one of the most misunderstood directors to ever live, and I still stand by this. Assault On Wall Street seems to be a film that most of his detractors say is better, and whole it is good I do find it to be a weaker effort. The reason I feel it's weaker is that Uwe takes a much more reserved approach here which I have never seen him do…

  • From Beyond

    From Beyond

    ★★★★½

From Beyond is fucked up beyond belief and likely a better Lovecraft adaptation then Stuart Gordon's other attempt Re-Animator. When I say better I do not mean that the film itself is better (I'm a huge fan of Re-Animator), but that it feels much more like a Lovecraftian story that that one. This all being said I'm in awe over how well Gordon always pulls off his effects. I've never seen one that looks bad and this is far from an exception. Also Crampton, Combs, and Foree are just doing such a good job as always here that you can't help but smile at the horror.

The perfect companion to the lonely and depressed. Sad as it is funny, elevating as it is deveststing. A beautiful film from start to finish, and easily The Coen's best work.

  • Afro Samurai

    Afro Samurai

    ★★★★

Afro Samurai is a visually stunning miniseries that tells a dark, compelling tale of revenge. It also manages to be one of the saddest and most emotional in its lonliness. All of the characters here are great, and so is every episode, but I must say that the final two episodes of the five are certainly my favorite. Incredibly tragic and brutal in a way that I love. Sad in execution, awesome visually, and just plain great.
