Nerve ★★★★

Rushes of adrenaline and wanton fun, as whip-quick as the abundant text receipts and viewer counts that litter the screen and intertwine with the choppy bursts of internet recess imagery and pop culture blurbs. Hot radio singles are commonplace within the neon-tinged hyper wilderness, teeming with youthful animals driven by cash and the blissful absence of inhibition. Collisions of danger and desire in a vivid city that operates on dares and self-endangerment, often unassured in its vapidness (sometimes placing its airy nonchalance in the wrong areas,) but so energized that it’s hard to deny that it truly is a beautifully renegade speed demon of lights, colors, and viral moods.
