Keeping it meta in the physical age. My 4th fave is my fave of the current year that I have watched for the first time. #sci-fi
Tenet is the worst Nolan film
and don’t try to convince me that
it all makes sense in the end
Because, when you take a closer look
The film is built on crazy ideas.
Some scenes really shine
The plot and characters don’t hold together.
And it’s not true that
Nolan knows how to write emotions
The characters can be believable
Only if there was heart in the script
It’s not true that this movie is good…
Landing on the moon was firmly fixed as a historical event mentioned in a textbook by the time I came around. Marked as an achievement for the U.S. and humanity I could appreciate it telescopically. Often it was presented as a bullet point of the time it belonged to: the Vietnam war, the civil rights movement, landing on the moon etc. all globbed together to help shape what the 60's were.

The final act is so good, ashame the rest is a pretty big slog. I wasn’t vibing with the direction, in the right hands this story could KILL but Kasdan didn’t have a memorable shot in this. So drab and boring.
Not sure if William Hurt is the chosen one. Weird to see him playing the same guy in this as The Village, he really has a modus operandi and he isn’t budging.
The final shot of Kathleen 💋
Lotta nude bodies.

Some of the story felt a little too convenient but it’s so much dang fun who cares? M. Emmet Walsh playing the judge from blood meridian in this. The Coen’s are great at characters and might be best at constructing colorful baddies.
When I was young, probably around 9 years old, I was on a field trip. I don’t remember where it was or what we were doing, but I think it involved hiking. At the end of the trip there was a rope swing that went out over a pond which for whatever reason my mind alternatively catalogs it as a big puddle, but it was at least 3 feet deep. Everyone was taking turns swinging out over the pond, swinging…
