Tenet ★★

Like with most of Nolan’s films—except Interstellar and maybe Inception—this one falters on a second viewing. I don’t mean to be a pessimist when I say that since this is a film that’s thematically worthless, once you’ve seen the tricks Nolan has up his sleeve there’s no need to return to the magic show. I still find Washington’s stoicism to work like a charm and once juxtaposed with a slightly more animated Pattinson it totally works. However, there’s almost no reason to ever come back to this in the future. In retrospect, its legacy will be trifling.
