A clever, enjoyable and gorgeous movie with something to say, but that’s really about more than what the thing it’s saying is? Pretty great.
VERY silly, but it proudly wears it on its sleeve and never pretends to be anything more. I had fun all throughout and felt I got pretty much what I signed up for. And that’s good, I think.
Seeing equally silly MCU stuff (GotG2, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the Wasp) get universally praised while this gets panned only furthers my suspicion that Disney is up to some shady business in the review-o-sphere.
