Que Viva Mexico!

Que Viva Mexico! ★★★★½

This is an unfinished avant-guard docu-drama made in 1930 by a Russian director for an American writer about pre/post-revolution Mexico that was held in America for nearly half a century before finally being given back to the co-director, reassembled and re-released in 1979.

And it somehow still manages to be incredibly engaging and intruiging. Then again, perhaps that's why it's so interesting.
