It certainly brings back fine memories associated with StarCraft. I like the fusion of military technology and the rural American midwest in an another reality as well as the script that skilfully mixes techno jargon and the country-life lingo. The escalation from a routine pest removal to a palpable danger brought forth by a full-blown "Zergling rush" as well as an "Ultralisk" entry is tremendously engaging. Plot elements such as inadequate ammo and the the mech ("Goliaths" for those keeping track with StarCraft vocabulary) pilots' families facing their own battle add realism and tension. So much world building takes place in only 17min; the short-story called Suits by Steven Lewis should be given recognition. My only complaint is that the action sequences are somewhat stilted.
